MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We have been so blessed in our lives, and we are so thankful....  It is this time of the year though that we miss our family and friends the most.

We are thrilled that Kelly and Kristina will be here tomorrow morning.  At the time of this writing, they are in the air between Toronto and Chicago....  After a short plane change, they will fly to San Francisco, with another plane change, then lose a day, as they arrive tomorrow morning on Christmas Day here in New Zealand... All going well....

We will leave the boat before daybreak tomorrow and be waiting at the Auckland Airport...

This week has been mostly spent getting the boat put back together in time for the girls arrival.  We now have a running engine!  With Tom's guidance we re-assembled the raw and internal cooling systems.  We are just now waiting on the repair of our CV joints and we can re-install the shaft.  Right now we cannot move with the engine...   We have been promised the part early in the new year...  We will see...  Apparently, it will only cost us another $1800 for this part....

We FINALLY got delivery of the heat exchanger!  We paid the additional $65 extortion fee from DHL and Customs and within hours of its arrival it was installed!

We have also finished the dinghy wheel project and they work GREAT!

We will be taking some time off from boat projects while the girls are here and hope to explore as much of New Zealand as we can while they are here...

If you remember, we were trying to win the best decorated boat contest.  Alas, it was not to be, and we won, yet another T-shirt for participating... Oh well, there is always next year...

One of Shelley's Birthday presents was a trip to get her toes painted...  I think it turned out nice...

To all of you who follow our blog, a HUGE THANK YOU! and MERRY CHRISTMAS!  Your kind words and thoughts keep us close to home even when we are miles away....

More soon!
